During the unprecedented year of 2020 we did not know what lies ahead. Not only did we all persevere during that challenging time but we found growth. Me and my son came up with an idea for a new product and launched it in the market.

It all started one day in summer of 2020 during a thunder storm when one of the trees fell in our backyard. We were working from home and our son who was a junior in high school was a remote student I took my son’s help in cleaning up the fallen tree. We started by chopping the fallen tree branches and for that we needed to carry several different tools and objects back and forth and found it very inconvenient. We thought that there has to be a better way of carrying/holding stuff hands free. We found many types of carabiners available in the market but they didn’t meet our needs. We started discussing and working on a concept of a dual carabiner with a 360-degree swivel rotation. We made a sketch on a piece of paper and converted into a CAD model. We tirelessly worked on improving the design to make it manufacturable. Once the design was  finalized, we build some SLA prototypes as well as machined samples. When we looked at the final product and its unique swivel joint, we started wondering if this can be patented. We filed for the patent in August 2020 and in January 2021 we got the wonderful news that a patent was issued for our design. We were thrilled. After this big milestone we started working on bringing the product to market and we contacted some manufacturers and built a small batch. Once the batch was tested and we were satisfied with the quality we proceeded with mass production. Today we are ready to launch that product in the market.
